In June 2018 The Simkiss Family received the devastating news that their little boy Jude has a rare genetic disorder that affects his brain and will mean it is unlikely he will live past his childhood. The worst-case scenario being that he might not live to his 1st or 2nd birthday (They celebrated his 1st birthday on 15 October 2018). His condition is so limiting that he cannot move or co-ordinate his body in any way, is unlikely to ever walk or talk and is visually impaired.

Dale & Mel are heartbroken and living every parent's nightmare knowing that they may one day lose their child. It is nobody's fault that he has this condition, just a cruel stroke of nature that affects many other children and families across the UK.

Omnia Outsourcing Limited is Dale's company and they are sponsoring Team Jude, which is made up of Dale's colleagues and some close family and friends of Mel and Dale.  The Team of 12 have entered the Reading Half Marathon in March 2019 to raise as much money as we can for the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice who presently support Jude and many children and families like our friends Dale & Mel
