Staff and trustees at Cumbria Community Foundation braved the January chilly waters of Lake Windermere to raise money for the Cumbria Fund.
Raising money for
Cumbria Community Foundation
Cumbria Community Foundation addresses poverty and disadvantage by making life changing grants to inspirational local projects and people.
It celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2019 and in that time has awarded more than £42 million in grants, supporting some of the county’s most disadvantaged communities.
As part of a year-long campaign, people and businesses are encouraged to get involved and take part in a challenge to help raise money for the Cumbria Fund, which supports around 50 community projects each year. The money helps a wide number of people, including youngsters, vulnerable adults, the disabled, those recovering from illness, the unemployed and low income families.
Lake Windermere Dip
Not being one to shy away from a challenge, and to encourage others to fundraise with us, on 8th January staff and trustees took a brisk dip in the chilly waters of Lake Windermere - all without thermals and wetsuits!
We hope you are inspired to either support our cause or create your own challenge.
