Ulster Farmers' Union
2018 marks the 100th year of the UFU. We have a range of activities planned to recognise members, union successes and raise £100,000 for AANI.
Raising money for
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
Founded in 1918, the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) is the largest democratic voluntary organisation representing farmers and growers in Northern Ireland. Our central objective is to promote members interests both at home and abroad through professional lobbying.
Over the last 100 years farming has changed dramatically but core issues such as profitability, productivity and succession remain the same. We are proud to have served our members well over the last century and look forward to continuing to do so.
We have chosen Air Ambulance NI as our charity during this historic year because of the valuable service it provides farmers and rural communities. Having an air ambulance means that emergency medical services can get to the countryside quickly, improving the chances of someone injured and ultimately saving lives.
The air ambulance service is funded through a charity and needs to raise £2 million a year to operate.
Fundraising as part of a team, view team page.
Throughout the year we have a range of activities and events planned.
