Fan Dance Race for TVAP
I have worked for the Thames Valley Adventure Playground for over 14 years and in November 2016 that will be coming to an end. This is an amazing charity that helps so many children and adults with special needs, it has also helped me become the person I am today, without this charity I would be a very different person today. I would very much like to raise as much money as I can for them as a thank you for all the years they have put up with me! It would mean a huge amount to me and to the thousands of users, and their families, who come through their doors every year to use the amazing facilities.
Winter Fan Dance Race
The Fan Dance Race is a gruelling 24km non-navigational race over two sides of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The route is a real lung buster that throws everything at you, including the elements. There are steady slopes that allow a solid jogging pace, shocking inclines that have you almost on your hands and knees, loose stone tracks that require cautious foot placements and a forested vehicle track that allows for some rapid going. Even SAS recruits at the height of their physical abilities regard beating the clock in this event as a serious challenge,
