I'm Tracey, wife to Joe (my childhood sweetheart - awwww) and mum to Owen who is 16.
I'm a Senior Practitioner Social Worker at Scottish Adoption and feel privileged to be a part of the service.
I have 2 furry babies, Cira and Holly who I have to credit with starting my love of walking and the outdoors.
I'm a keen hillwalker and like nothing better than stomping up and down the hills of Scotland. It's so lovely to be able to experience the beautiful scenery of our spectacular country.
Kilimanjaro at 40!
The best ideas come from meeting a new friend over a few proseccos (you know who you are!) and after such a night, I decided to challenge myself to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
At 5896m Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and is rightly referred to as ‘the roof of Africa’. It's nearly 4 and a half times the height of Ben Nevis and will take 6 days of hard slog to reach the summit.
I'll need to be much fitter than I am at present to succeed in reaching the top of Kilimanjaro and I need help........
Raising money for charity helps in challenges such as this (mainly as it guilts the participants into not feigning an injury and quitting!!). I would like to do this trek and raise money for Scottish Adoption. It's a fantastic charity and provides a great service to children and their adoptive families.
Please give what you can and I promise that every pound and penny that's raised will help me to reach the top of the 'roof of Africa'!
