Event details

Tim Page Fit For Life

In 2016, I decided to run 22 NI parkruns.

I discovered parkrun while recovering from aggressive lymphoma for the fourth time.

Finishing my first parkrun at Victoria Park, 162nd of 162, I was struck by the encouragement of runners,
 - "You can do it!"
 - "Nearly there!"

The project's aims are:

1. Complete all NI parkruns (22 when I started)
2. Raise £5000 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI
3. Promote the work of Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI
4. Promote registration of stem cell donors via DKMS UK
5 Promote the benefits of fitness

My final parkrun was 24 September.

At 11-Dec, £14,795.50 has been raised for LLNI, that's after Just Giving commission & bank card charges.

Also, £650 raised for DKMS UK, the global charity that signs up stem cell donors.

197 people registered with DKMS - this will
save some lives in years ahead.

And, 37 people signed up with parkrun for their first run.

Thank you so much to supporters and donors :-)

The project blog is here, including run reports and a video montage of all the runs, is here:
