Tom Burgess is running the London Marathon
I'm running the London Marathon to raise money for two inspirational causes dedicated to helping children in need to survive and thrive.
Raising money for
Wandsworth, Chelsea and Fulham Sea Cadets
Donations accepted until 23-05-2017
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. It's been a real journey for me to get to this point. One year ago in March 2016 I was diagnosed morbidly obese with critically high blood pressure.
This gave me the push I needed to transform my life - I joined a gym and with dogged determination I have since worked out and run every single day and lost five stone.
I'm so pleased my journey has brought me to the point where I can use my transformation to benefit others in need.
Please donate what you can for these two worthy causes, both helping children towards a brighter future.
The London Marathon
I will be running more than 26 miles as part of the 2017 London Marathon on 23 April!
My first race was the Oxford Half Marathon and on a high from that, I signed up for a few more and have 4 now completed. It was my dream to run the biggie, the London Marathon and now I have the opportunity to do so for two amazing causes. I have been training hard and since November I have managed to clock up 500 miles - in fact I've just reached Edinburgh from London in terms of miles run!
Now its my turn to help give back. I would really appreciate you supporting me and two charities close to my heart.
