About

The Hope Project
This is the official fundraising page for The Hope Project Lesvos
The Hope project is founded on the principles of dignity, compassion and safety for all.
We aim to provide aid and support for people fleeing conflict or persecution arriving on the island of Lesvos.
We strive to support refugees both arriving and staying in Lesvos directly and by supporting other groups working in different areas of the island. The needs and the situation are constantly changing, boats are arriving daily to the shores and the numbers of those refugees stuck on the island in poor and overcrowded conditions grow daily.
Our core work continues to be with refugees arriving on the coast of Lesvos, primarily in the north of the island. This involves us along with volunteers monitoring the sea for refugee boats and then providing aid for them when they land on the shore.
We also work closely with other groups on projects for the long term support of refugees

Refugee Support

Our work consists of two parts.
Our core work continues to be with refugees arriving on the coast of Lesvos, primarily in the north of the island. This involves us along with volunteers monitoring the sea for refugee boats and then providing aid for them when they land on the shore.
The main area we cover is 15km of coast line much of that is unmade road and often inaccessible.
We strive to support refugees both arriving and staying in Lesvos directly and by supporting other groups working in different areas of the island. The needs and the situation are constantly changing, boats are arriving daily to the shores and the numbers of those refugees stuck on the island in poor and overcrowded conditions grow daily.
