The Iron Man of Arran Golf Challenge
This year, Dave Kerr, Bill Kennedy, Sandy Fyfe and Graeme Cullen will be embarking on a tough physical, golfing and logistical endeavour for charity.
Donations accepted until 16-09-2018
Sandy’s own daughter, Tallie, was hospitalised in Yorkhill, Glasgow for a protracted period of time when she was just 10 months old. Following two heart operations, Tallie has never looked back and is now a fit teenager who loves to play hockey every moment that she can. It's time to give something back.
Dave Kerr is Chair of Home Link Family Support based in Edinburgh. Home Link Family Support gives children and families a positive start in life by providing support in their homes in Edinburgh and Midlothian.
Dave and Sandy are very grateful to both Bill and Graeme for agreeing to support these two charities equally from any funds raised.
Every Golf Hole (93!) on Arran in One Day!
The challenge: fully playing, as a four ball, every golf hole on the Scottish island of Arran over just one single day. That’s 93 holes, spread over 7 locations!
Sandy Fyfe has had previous experience when, in 2012, he and three others played 90 holes of golf in and around Perth in a single day for local charities. It has taken him 6 years to recover!!
As this is a set event, the team will also be playing competitively and trying to win! They will have an approximate start time of 4am. It is likely they will be out (hopefully not battling the elements), until around 10 in the evening.
Event is completed
