About

Kfar Silver provides essential education to close to 700 children, a third of them boarders.

World ORT is renovating all Kfar Silver facilities and providing courses and services to meet student needs.

By giving them an academic and social education we are handing them the tools to succeed.

As part of this project we'll renovate the sports facilities. Gifted students from the Village will follow a sports excellence program alongside their academic studies, the goal to produce Israeli Olympians.

Students will use improved Phys Ed facilities and the Village will be able to rent out the 400m track and the indoor facility, hosting a range of sports.

We need funds to:
- Build a quality running track, inc infrastructure, bleachers
- Renovate the gym, inc flooring, air conditioning, scoreboards, seating, weights room, office
- Add facilities inc changing rooms, storage space
- Purchase indoor/outdoor sports equipment

Our target is £30,000.

Team ORT is:

Avi Ganon (World ORT DG & CEO)
Lior Sharon
Lior Tirosh
Kobby Tubul
Yimharan Yosef
Other ORT UK runners

Please donate generously and help us create tomorrow's Olympians!

ORT UK LONDON MARATHON 2019

The inaugural London Marathon took place in 1981. It is extremely popular race and is always massively over-subscribed. The event is watched by millions of TV viewers every year and is the largest charity event outside of America. The Virgin London Marathon starts in Greenwich Park, next to the Greenwich Observatory. Runners then make their way through Woolwich, past the Thames Barrier and then Cutty Sark. They will then continue towards Bermondsy. At the twelve-mile point they will see Tower Bridge, which they cross before turning right towards Canary Wharf. Next on towards Limehouse and the 20-miles stage, where many runners may 'hit the wall' as their bodies run out of energy. Those who continue will pass the Tower of London, run along Embankment, past the Houses of Parliament and past Nelson's Column reaching the final 500m along Birdcage Walk, past Buckingham Palace and over the finish line to the sound of well-deserved cheers!
