Raising money for
Help Refugees and Refugee Community Kitchen
Donations no longer accepted
Hi! For those of you reading that don't know me, I'm Suzy. I have challenged myself to cycle from one end of the UK to the other, a journey of around 1050 miles.
I cycle a bit, but I am really having to step up for this! I want to use the experience to push myself mentally and physically, and also to do some good in the world. Because of this, I would like to raise money for Help Refugees and Refugee Community Kitche (RCK). Both of these wonderful organisations are based in Calais, and are some of the only sources of support, help and hot food that the refugees there are receiving. These people need our help, they are fleeing war and persecution and I believe it is our duty to help when our governments turn their backs. My goal is to raise at least £1 for each mile I will cycle. If I raise more I will be over the moon!
I have visited RCK twice and cannot explain how wonderful the people running these organisations are. Everything they are doing is completely selfless, please help me to support them! To learn more visit their websites :
The End to End
I'll be starting on April 28th at Land's End, and finishing on May 17th at John O'Groats.
I will be cycling with a group, and I will personally be funding every single expense of the trip. Every penny raised will go directly to RCK and Help Refugees.
As of today, I haven't cycled more than 41 miles in a day. I need to average 65 miles per day on this challenge, so I am training my mind and body from now until April to be able to do this. It's nervewracking but it'll be worth it!
