About
I care for my mum who is mentally ill. Her inability to recognise dreams from reality & constant splits of personalities stopped her becoming the mother she could’ve been.It hurts to know I’ve never had a mother daughter relationship. As the oldest, Ibecame mum to myself & younger siblings & dealt with damaging, unimaginable pressures. Working with Kidstime, I’ve met kids from the age of 3 who are forced to care for parents with mental illness. Their expertise & support help kids manage home life; without affecting their social & academic life. They successfully create better understanding & allow kids to overcome the fear of their parent’s illness.
Event details
The Great Wall of China Trek
I have decided to take part in a sponsored walk up the Great Wall of China, to raise money for the Kidstime Foundation and promote their service worldwide. With current plans to set up branches across Europe, this organisation has the potential to succeed with its future plans in place. Being inexperienced with feeling the adrenaline rush of a plane journey, means it would me an even bigger achievement for me to experience a totally different country. For me to complete my walk, I will have to raise a minimum of £2800 I would like you to help me with the process.
Your donations and generosity will help give a voice to young carers and make a difference to their lives.
