250 km Sahara Desert race for the COB Foundation
Running the 250 km 'Marathon des Sables 2016', known as the 'toughest footrace on Earth' - I will be raising funds for 'The COB Foundation'.
Raising money for
Bladder Health UK
In April 2016, I will be taking on the challenge of my life, to run 250 kilometres for six days, across the Sahara desert, with my 4 younger brothers. I have chosen to support 'The Cystitis and Overactive Bladder (COB) Foundation' a charity largely unknown and often overlooked, but provides invaluable support to people who suffer from all forms of painful bladder conditions. My mother-in-law, wife and other members of my family, all suffer from Cystitis, a painful and debilitating condition, which has a huge impact on their lives. This foundation has helped them and countless other sufferers fight the condition and I am proud to be supporting such a worthwhile cause. Every penny helps and is appreciated.Thank you again. Best wishes, Stuart www.cobfoundation.org
Marathon Des Sables 2016 - Six Day, Five Whites
Next April, I take on the 31st MARATHON DES SABLES in the Sahara Desert, with by 4 brothers: a first. The race is a grueling multi-stage adventure equivalent of 5.5 marathons in 6 days, covering 251 km, 156 miles. Our uniting motivation is to honour the recent passing of our Grandma and to raise money for charities around the globe.
