HELP SAVE A LIFE
I will be running the Bath Half marathon this year (my 1st) for a very personal and worthy cause...please help make a difference.
Raising money for
Lifeskills - Learning for Living
One evening, my father returned from work and collapsed. I very quickly realised 2 major things;
1) He was having a heart attack.
2) I did not have a clue what to do!
I held him, willing him to hold-on until the paramedics arrived but unfortunately it was too late. My father (Alfred) was only 49 years old. There isn’t a day goes by when I don’t think, ‘What if?’ If I had known some early medical intervention, would he still be alive today?
This is why ‘Lifeskills’ is such an important charity to me. Every September, we take our year 6 pupils to Lifeskills, where they learn the skills and knowledge that really can (and has done) save lives. From road safety & railway awareness to house dangers and early medical intervention, Lifeskills really do offer children and young adults the best and safest start in life.
They have a purpose built street with a road, cars, bank, chemist, shop as well a railway line/station, smoke filled room and a working, mock emergency telephone system in place. Not bad considering it's on the fourth floor of a dockside warehouse!
Please help to keep this precious organisation running.
Let’s make a difference.
Let’s save a life!

The Bath Half is one of the most popular races outside of London and the Great North Run.
