Steve's 2019 Bristol to Bordeaux ride for PROPS
After a big crash in Majorca in 2017 resulting in 4 cheekbone fractures and six stitches in my face, I'm getting back on the bike for PROPS in 2019
Raising money for
I'll be cycling from the centre of Bristol to the city of Bordeaux in southwestern France. It's 500 miles in 4 days - approximately 125 miles per day. This is a big challenge. 125 miles in one day is hard enough, to then repeat it for 3 further days is a true test of mind and body.
About the Charity
PROPS is a special needs charity for young adults based in Bristol. Their mission is to help those with learning difficulties and disabilities achieve their potential within our community. Based at the Vassall Centre in Fishponds in Bristol, they do this by providing opportunities and support to foster and nurture inclusion in the community. The B2B ride is the biggest annual fundraiser and it's so important to help them to continue to support local young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
This trip is paid for by the riders, so all the money we raise goes directly to PROPS.
Several of the PROPS students also take part in the ride, so it will be hard not to be inspired by young adults with learning difficulties riding alongside me.
I'd love it if you could support me in my efforts to raise funds for PROPS.
