About

Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS) is a genetic disability due to a microdeletion or abnormality of chromosome 17. The major features of Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS) include mild to moderate intellectual disability, delayed speech and language skills, distinctive facial features, sleep disturbances, and behavioural problems.

Money donated to the Sponsor My Smile campaign will be used by the Smith-Magenis Syndrome Foundation UK for a variety of initiatives which includes supporting families, as well as funding research and an annual grant programme to help families buy specialist equipment and resources.
