VHL our chosen charity affects 1 in 36,000 births & we want to raise money to support the charity to fund key research on the rare genetic condition.
Raising money for
Neither of us are runners, but we can walk and so, we have signed up to do the London Half Marathon walk Grade 3 Tough, which is a total of just over 13 miles! It involves a lot of fast pace walking and we are training with the aim to finish in a good time. Fingers crossed for us!
We are supporting VHL UK/Ireland because it is a charity close to both of our hearts. People with this disease suffer a series of malignant & benign tumours/cysts their whole lives and we both have very close friends affected by von Hippel Lindau (VHL) and we want to help!
We hope by taking on a challenge to walk the distance, we can help raise funds with your generosity to support key research into the disease and find a cure for those affected by VHL.

Taking on the London Marathon Walk
We will be starting at St Pancreas train station taking us on a journey through the historic centre of London, passing Smithfield Market, spotting key landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, London Eye and Big Ben and crossing the finish line at Chiswick.
The walk will be completed in a fast pace and we hope to finish in good time!
Wish us luck because I feel we will need it!
