This has got to be my most mental challenge yet!!
So now that my 50th is creeping up on me, I have decided to hit it head on and run a few marathons for 3 charities that are close to my heart.
Donations no longer accepted
Having done a few runs and started this running lark a few years ago I decided as I'm now reaching the magic 50 years young to do something a bit special (mad), so from March 24th 2018 onwards in the aid of 3 charities that are close to my heart I’m going to run 12 marathons and an ultra marathon to finish it off.
These 3 amazing charities are small ones but do a lot of good in the community and will be benefiting from an equal share in any donations and well worth having a look at.
The entries for the marathons and the approximate 5 pairs of trainers that I'll go through will be paid for by me and not from any of your kind donations
3 of these marathons are going have running support from my amazing wife Jane, Mark Day / Moray Paterson, Lindsay Mitchell-Henry and Andrew Dancer from work and outside friends to fund raise from bake sales, bucket shaking to support me and the great causes.
I am going to be running a marathon a month for 12 months and an ultra marathon which will finish on the 30th March 2019.....
The runs are:
24th March - Keilder Dark Skies - Completed
29th April - Stirling - Completed
27th May - Edinburgh - Completed
10th June - Strathearn - Completed
15th July - Dundee - Completed
29th July – 19.2 free run, followed by the
Donkey Brae 7 miles run - Completed
23rd September - Loch Ness - Completed
14th October - Yorkshire Marathon - Completed
10th November - Gower Coastal (nr Swansea) - Completed

20th January - 26.2 mile free run (Fife/Lothians) - Completed
