Me and my friend Orla are cycling 600km from Thessaloniki to Athens in September. This is a huge challenge for me! I am absolutely terrified but also excited. I have never done this much cycling before and it is a BIG step up from just cycling to and from uni. At the moment my thighs are jelly and they need to become steel!

We are raising money for the amazing charity Khora which is based in Athens.  Khora offers support for refugees through providing food and clothes, giving information, legal advice, education and running kids activities and workshops. The chairty provides refugees, often facing turmoil, with a safe place to spend the day.
Check out their website for more infromation....

SOOO if you feel able to donate anything, even if it's only a little,  that would be great ! All the money will go directly to Khora.

Love and pedals,
Sally :)

London to Athens 2018

A group of not-so-serious cyclists have set themselves the serious challenge of cycling between London and Athens. The ride is a relay-style challenge, with each participant taking on a week or two of the overall trip.

We are fundraising for Khora; a grassroots, proactive association running a community centre in Athens. Their centre provides basic and human needs for people without freedom of movement. This includes free nutritious food, clothing, education, access to information and a safe space to build relationships and relax.

Equally important to what they offer, is how they offer it. Khora is run by volunteers from all over the world. Its team includes members of the local Greek community, the refugee community and other international volunteers too. It prioritises dignity and respect in every service it provides.

The £60,000 we are aiming to raise will pay for the rent for their community centre for an entire year. The running costs of a project are typically the hardest to find funding for, so it of particular importance to be able to provide this for Khora, to secure a stable future for the project. All fund-raised money goes to Khora, and none on the ride.
