Rob runs Africa
I'm overweight, unfit and have a poor diet. Well, that's changing from today as I have to run in Africa in less than 4 weeks. I will train hard!
Raising money for
I turned 40 years of age 2 months ago. Despite the "experts" saying that I'm a has-been/never-was, I'm still a 5-aside addict and consider that a great player could still be sculptured if I could chisel off 2-3 stone. I'm going to need to start chiselling to get in shape for this race!
I'm a qualified solicitor and have spent the last 18 years working as a civil dispute lawyer. I have loved it (mostly!) and set up a firm named Curzon Green Solicitors some 7 years ago of which I'm currently the managing partner.
Do I have any special skills? Well, I have a complete inability to stand up on a moving train. Not sure if that counts though.
Why in Africa you ask? I'm the trustee of a fantastic charity named African Village Support. It provides a vital number of services to a village and surrounding area in East Uganda - helping fund women's groups, children's education, irrigation, a football team (Yes, I am looking forward to getting a match going) etc. All funds raised will go to this charity.
Well that's enough about me - time to get chiselling!!!!
