Raising money for
PIP-UK Poland Syndrome Support
An offshore technician and new father who has been affected by Poland's Syndrome with my son Reo. After getting in touch with the Poland Syndrome Support group, they have provided much needed support and advice following a difficult time, with almost no information being available from the NHS or through post natal care.
PIP-UK is a small charity and operates on a small budget. We have pledged to raise as much money as possible for the charity to help and support any other families going forward who are affected by this very rare birth defect.
Our goals for this year are to start working with the Italian Poland Syndrome Association (AISP). They are the most advanced Poland Syndrome organisation in the world and have made great strides in advancing the medical treatments and research, including being very close to proving a genetic link. They are also way ahead in dealing with the psychology of living with Poland Syndrome.
We have the support of The British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon's to work on this. They are willing to work with us and AISP to share knowledge and bring this back to UK to improve the care and treatment of Poland's Syndrome.
