Richard's doing the Track Trek
Please do support me, or even join in and take part in the walk, which is the entire 11 miles of the length of the Bluebell Line. Details from the link at the top left of any page on the BRPS web site (of which I'm editor...)
We're fundfraising for two vital projects:
- OP4 - to complete the new carriage shed we've started building at Horsted Keynes
- ASH - we've a stage 1 pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund, but need to raise more match funding to release the total sum we're bidding for. The project will re-roof our exisiting locomotive shed, and improve the access, display and interpretation of our locomotives. It will also build a new locomotive maintenance/washout shed, covering 4 further locomotives.
Fundraising as part of a team, view team page.
Bluebell Railway Track Trek 2016
With no trains running due to engineering works at Horsted Keynes this year's Track Trek sponsored walk will cover the entire line from East Grinstead to Sheffield Park, a distance of eleven miles. The walk will take place during the daytime on Saturday 12 November. This year's walk will raise money for two appeals with all funds being equally split between ASH - Accessible Steam Heritage and Operation Undercover Phase 4.
We have decided this year to offer a second, shorter walk for those who feel eleven miles is a bit too much. If a five mile walk sounds more to your liking then you can walk from Horsted Keynes to Sheffield Park.
A free bus service will operate to take you back to your original starting point.
