Supporting healthcare in Kenya
I am Educational Consultant for the Kenya School for Integrated Medicine (KSIM), near Mombasa, Kenya. I have been involved with the school for over five years and became Educational Director in February 2015. As a homeopath and teacher, I have been committed to the development of homeopathy for many years. Originally from the UK, I spent 20 years in the USA running a school and working to create a legal, unified profession and for the past eight years have been focused on the development of homeopathy and natural medicines in parts of Africa.
Supporting the Education Fund for KSIM
We are beginning a new year's intake of students in January and are establishing an Education Fund to support the educational goals of the students. Our fund is being established with a government loan organization called Higher Educational Loans Board (HELB) that supports institutions in offering loans and bursaries for needy students.
Our institution has been given a five year grant through the European Union to partner with the Ministry of Health in our County in Kenya.
We are seeking to improve health information systems, developing community health units, implement operational researches, train medical personnel and provide the ministry with qualified graduates of our school. We are currently training students in Community Health, Nutrition and Homeopathic Medicine. All tuition is highly subsidized and we need raise 30,000 for our education fund.
Please support our work by giving to our Educational Fund. All monies goes directly to support loans and bursaries for students and give them a chance of a higher education.
