Matthew, Karen & Richard Cycling for the Homeless
The 10th Anniversary Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride raising funds to support the work of The Connection at St Martin’s with homeless and vulnerable people
Raising money for
The Friends of the Connection
This is the 10th anniversary bike ride! There will be over 20 of us cycling, chasing a target of £25,000. Any contribution you can make would be great in meeting this target.
We took part last year and would like to raise even more this year for such an urgent need. The number of people who are homeless has continued to increase. 4,500 separate individuals used the Connection’s services in 2016-17. This is the service for which the Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride raises funds. Anyone can find themselves homeless.
We would like to thank very much those who supported Richard and Matthew last year. Can we ask you again this year? Please also share the link to this page with whoever might be interested in supporting us.
Thank you so much!
Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride
August Bank Holiday, 24-27 August 2018: The Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride is an annual 200-mile 4-day sponsored event to raise funds to support the work of The Connection with homeless and vulnerable people. This year is our 10th Anniversary, and we have set an ambitious fundraising target of £25,000. Please help us to achieve it!
We follow the route of the Queen Eleanor crosses from Harby near Lincoln to London, staying in church halls overnight. The longest day is about 65 miles. There are up to 30 of us, and the ride is challenging, great fun, and for an excellent cause.
