Raising money for
Nottingham Arimathea Trust
Donations accepted until 28-12-2014
I have been raising money for charities in many different ways for most of my life. I enjoy a challenge and like to push myself for a good cause. Recently, I have become involved with different charities that support refugees and asylum seekers, a group in society that is often ignored and extremely marginalised. Over time I have met some incredibly strong and resilient people who are constantly facing obstacles and fighting for their right to live in safety away from fear. I now work for Nottingham Arimathea Trust, an organisation which provides housing and support for destitute asylum seekers and refugees who have nowhere left to turn. I have decided to raise money for this charity so that they can continue to support destitute people in Nottingham and raise awareness about the issues facing asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.
Robin Hood Marathon
On the 28th September I will be running the Robin Hood marathon to raise money for Nottingham Arimathea Trust. The race is 26.2 miles long and as I am not even close to being a pro-runner (and am not the best at sticking to a training programme) I have no target time but am just hoping to finish the race still standing!
