My life has been enriched in the last 20 years through my involvement with disability sport, so at a local level I like to do a bit of fundraising for Lothian Disability Sport and other organizations like Signpost, No Limits and Lothian Special Olympics which do so much to help families and facilitate sporting opportunities for the disabled

Event details

Pete's 50-mile walk 2018 - Newbridge to Callander

Up at 4.30am, leaving Newbridge at 6, I should reach the Forth Bridge (6 miles) by 8am, via Kirkliston and Dalmeny. Over the Forth Bridge then I walk to Rosyth, then inland to Crossford and Saline. Heading west it will be dark by the time I get to Menstrie (30 miles) around 4.30pm. On past Stirling University to Bridge of Allan around 6pm, onto Doune (41 miles) and finally Callander (50 miles) sometime after midnight. One of my Albakirkie bluegrass friends has kindly agreed to fetch me home!
