Pandra & Oakley's 100km walk
Off we go again on another walking adventure raising money for North Northumberland Hospice Care & Ford School 😊😊😊
Donations accepted until 09-11-2017
As many of you will remember 2 years ago Pandra (aged 5.5) and I embarked on the mighty St Cuthberts Way all 100km of it! Well...we're off again but this time tackling the Northumberland Coastal Path which is also 100km but of course this year Pandra is 7.5 and we have a new addition, Oakley (Mr O) he's 1.5 and will probably be carried most of the way...my poor back hurts already!!!
Pandra & Mr O walk the Northumberland Coastal Path
As we did the last time, we plan to break this into manageable stages. 2 years ago each day averaged 9-10 miles but I'm not that brave having to carry a rather chunky Oakley so most days will be between 6-7 miles. We should have it wrapped up in 10 days.
The starting point is Cresswell in the south of the region and we are obviously walking North (sea on the right!!!!) for 10 days and hopefully landing in Berwick.
We are raising money for 2 charities Hospice Care North Northumberland & Hugh Joicey First school at Ford which Pandra attends. The hospice cared for dear Sally Wood the late Headteacher of Ford School and of course provides much needed care / respite for those in the greatest need. Our second charity, Ford school have lovingly welcomed Pandra since January this year when she changed schools due to issues at Lowick. This is our chance to give a little bit back to say thank you for all they have done to ensure Pandra's move was seamless.
