Michael, Paul, Gareth and Ed make up the UHY Hacker Young Fitch, Chartered Accountants Cycle Team. Michael is the Managing Partner, Paul is the Financial Controller and Gareth and Ed are clients. Last year we raised £13,000 towards building a school in Onialeku Uganda, while cycling the Belfast Dublin Maracycle. This year we hope to raise £5,000 for a perimeter fence and equipment to enable the school to become a recognised school by the Ugandan Government by cycling the Gran Fondo Giro d'Italia Mourne 175km route on 5th June 2016.
Gran Fondo Giro D'Italia NI 2016 - 175km Mournes
The 2016 Gran Fondo will see 4000 cyclists tackling some of the most historic and iconic climbs in Northern Ireland making the event a truly once in a lifetime experience for all participants. The 175km loop will pass over mountains and hills steeped in Irish history with the opportunity to view the beauty of the country from the highest mountain peaks to the Loughs and sea.
Starting at Titanic Belfast, we will leave the city towards the biggest mountain range in Northern Ireland, the Mourne Mountains and then down to Carlingford Lough before making the long return trip to finish at Titanic Belfast, having cycled 110 miles and climbed 8,000ft!
