Impromptu decision making consequences
Those of you who've had the pleasure of spending enough time with me will know that falling, tripping, having fire doors slam shut on my nose and flip-flops getting caught on escalators are all frequent occurrences in my life. For someone who finds it challenging to place one foot in front of the other without causing injury, I'll be embarking on the four day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu (Peru) as well as an Amazon jungle trek. Please note that we have funded the entire trip ourselves and it will not incur the charity any costs whatsoever.
We'll be trekking for four days through the Inca Trail to reach Machu Picchu as well as a further three days trekking in the Amazon jungle. Not only will I be trekking, I'll also be camping for the first time in my life (for someone who's a clean-freak, germophobe and accustomed to the finer things in life, this will be a major challenge in itself). Luckily, two (far more stable) friends of mine, Kate and Karen will be joining me on this potentially catastrophic adventure. Evidently, this isn't my idea of an idyllic holiday, but it's for a very worthy cause. We'll be raising money for The Head and Neck Cancer Foundation (HNCF), a charity close to my heart and that I'm fortunate enough to be involved with. Funds raised will be used to carry out ground-breaking research that will change the future of head and neck cancer. For this reason, I would be immensely appreciative of any donations, big or small. Please dig deep, spread the word and help offer invaluable support to HNCF!
