Nicky's Ride-London Cycle
Action Through Enterprise (ATE) is a small, sustainable development charity that I believe in, which is working with the community of Lawra in Upper West Ghana to make a meaningful reduction in poverty. Through their school feeding programme, ATE encourages over nearly a thousand children into school each school day, helping them to complete their education and prepare themselves for the future. ATE provides business training and grants to small business owners, to enable them to provide for themselves and their families. ATE also provides support for 150 disabled children and their families and works to end the stigma against children with special needs and the discrimination they face. On 30th July, I'll be cycling 46 miles of a spectacular route from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London to The Mall. https://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/events/46/
I'll be pedaling away to raise funds to support ATE's work and to take part in their #2800MileChallenge. This is the challenge to collectively reach the target of 2800 miles, the distance between their UK office and where they deliver their programmes in Ghana, by the end of this year through a variety of sponsored activities. If you'd like to join the challenge visit their website to find out more! http://ateghana.org/the-2800-mile-challenge/
