Neil Irving is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
UPDATE: I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro at 6.02 am (just before sunrise) on Tuesday 26 February 2019. There are some photos on-line at http://tinyurl.com/kili2019
Total raised to 1 March 2019 (on-line, off-line and gift aid) is just over £1400. Many thanks to all who have sponsored me.
Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa, with the summit at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) above sea level.
I am paying all the costs of my travel and climb, so every penny raised will go direct to the Amos Trust to support the Cheka Sana Tanzania street children project based in Mwanza, Northern Tanzania.
Cheka Sana Tanzania is a Tanzanian NGO working on the shores of Lake Victoria. It supports children and young people living or working on the streets, using a therapeutic, solutions-focused approach which concentrates on children’s potential and strengths.
