I am Neil Fullbrook and I my marriage to Dan Doherty was stolen by a brain tumour on March 16th 2016. Dan and I had been together for 29 years and decided to marry in 2014. One year later he was diagnosed with cancer and five months after that we lost him. I am raising funds in his memory for The Dan Doherty Memorial School, which was built after generous friends, family and colleagues raised enough to build it. My dream is to build a floating school in Dan's name to work in Bangladesh and bring schooling to remote villages.

Event details

A year long commitment

Throughout 2017 I will be involved in a number of charitable events and programmes aimed at raising money to fund the Dan Doherty Memorial School during it's first year. I plan to raise enough to give it the real kick start that it needs to educate local children and help entrepreneurial women get on their feet. Depending on how well I do, I then aim to raise enough to convert a floating school for children in Bangladesh - these innovative classrooms are piloted to remote villages where they provide an essential function in educating children who spend much of their time at work in fish-drying or shoe making factories. Please help me to achieve these goals.
