I am Dan's husband. We were partners for 28 years before being married in 2014, a year later he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and passed away on March 16th 2016. He was passionate about his charities and this one, Learning for Life is building a school in Nepal in his memory. This came about because the charity lost twelve of its schools in the devastating earthquakes in 2015. Please help us to build a school in his memory.
Fundraising as part of a team, view team page.
We are now in phase three of fundraising - keeping the school running. I have arranged a number of fund raising events to reach the required amount to build the school. In total we have raised around £35,000. The school is built and is being used by the local community as a business hub as well as an education centre. Any donations received will go directly to the school to help with finance the running - teachers' salaries, essential school items (pens, pencils etc). Any donation, no matter how small will go directly to the school.
If you would like to visit the school please do get in touch with me and I would be happy to put you in touch with the right people.
Thank you for taking the time to read up about the Dan Doherty Memorial School. I am certain he would have been so proud of what we, his family and friends, continue to achieve.
