About
For anyone that knows us, you know our commitment to finishing whatever we start! We spent many years in England looking after children at a men's prison on visiting days. We also fostered "chernoble" children while they were in England receiving medical care. Soon after moving from England to North Carolina we started a "soup kitchen" with a twist, where people are served with tableclothes and real plates. It is one of the few racially integrated activities in Washington County, NC. It recently won a community award and is still going strong after 7 years. We have also spent the past 2 years teaching English to children at free schools in the 3rd world. We will finish the walk, if we have to craw!

Walking For The Children of Nepal
Mark and Nancy are going to walk the Camino de Santiego de Compostela. We are going to start on April 7th at St. Jean Pied de Port (the traditional starting point) and finish by June 7, 2017 at the Church of Saint James of Compostela. The distance is 776 kilometers/482 miles. We're doing this to raise money for The Nestling Trust, a charity co-founded by our friend on many years, Sue Hamblin. The Nestling Trust is building a home (not an orphanage) for 20 children in Sarangkot, Nepal. This home is going to provide protection and hope to destitute and abused children in a country where human trafficking is rife. If you can spare even $5 it will be enough to buy 1 blanket for a child's bed.
