To raise funds to help expand tennis playing opportunities at Purley Bury Tennis Club for all, whether able or disabled, young or old.
Raising money for
Bright Ideas for Tennis
Donations accepted until 22-04-2018
I am the Chairman of Purley Bury Tennis Club, which is a Registered Charity. I started playing tennis aged 39 and, now aged 69, play virtually every day. I am inspired by our juniors coming through the ranks, the seniors that play in all weathers, our social rota players and, more recently, our new disabled players. Having been invited by the Bright Ideas For Tennis Charity to trial sessions for disabled players, we have managed to provide professionally coached sessions for up to 40 disabled players weekly, all of them new to the game. This has been extremely fulfilling, and we want to develop those opportunities further. I find tennis keeps me fit and active, involves me in social and voluntary aspects of the club, and this fundraiser gives me the opportunity, with your support, to put even more back into the club. We help people across all age ranges and abilities to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. To continue that into the future, we need new environmentally friendly LED's and improved court surfacing. Please give generously as all of the funds raised will help to provide opportunities for inclusive tennis to all in our community. Thank you for your help and support.
