Walk4Joseph Walk to Leeds
So I've signed up again. Since last year's walk, which raised over £36,000 for Joseph's Goal, I've been made an ambassador. Possibly the first time I've ever been considered to be an ambassador for anything. Does this mean I get to eat a lot of Ferrero Rocher?
Anyway, the walk is taking place the same weekend as last year but we are walking 26 miles further with an extra day. So, just a marathon extra. We are also walking over the Pennines, not up the sleepy and flat Fylde Coast.
It is my job, like last year, to plan the route, organise the hotels and transport, co-ordinate fund raising and somehow keeping up to 100 people in check over 3 days. And I'm a worrier at the best of times.
Please make me day by giving what you can to a charity which is very close to my heart
Walk4Joseph 2019 - Destination Leeds!
Following the amazing walk to Fleetwood last season, which raised over £36,000 for Joseph’s Goal and involved over 100 people - we’re doing it again this year. Bigger and better!!
This year we are undertaking a perilous walk over the Pennines from Wigan to Leeds, which is a distance of around 58 miles.
We will be leaving on Wednesday morning (April 17, 2019) and stopping off en route at Burnley, Bingley and possibly some other places beginning with B before finally arriving at Leeds United’s Elland Road on Good Friday (April 19, 2019) to watch Wigan Athletic take on the mighty Leeds!
