Run Booderlee Run
In my 50th year I thought I should do something special, should I go on a big holiday? buy a sports car? - NO I'm going to run a marathon!!
Raising money for
British Thyroid Foundation
I am a keen cyclist and jogging enthusiast and have decided to challenge myself by taking the next step and going to partake in a full marathon (managed a half a couple of times previously)
Live in Nottingham with my partner, two children, dog and tortoise
Yorkshire Marathon 2018
Well I’ve only gone and done it - official Time 3:59:30 - under 4 was my target so don’t care how close it was it’s under
Downside - dropped my phone at the finish when trying to take a selfie and smashed the glass
I am running (walking) the Asda Yorkshire Marathon 2018 to support the British Thyroid Foundation.
My partner has been diagnosed with an under-active thyroid and we have found the information on the BTF website invaluable whilst trying to understand how she can be best supported. This is to try and give something back to a charity that would not survive without donations.
Thyroid disorders affect 1 in 20 people in the UK so it is vital that the information and support they provide is available when people most need it.
