About

I’m running the Great North Run this year for the Alice Ruggles Trust. Alice was a friend murdered in October 2016 by her ex-partner who was stalking her.

The Trust was set up in Alice’s name with the objective of raising awareness of coercive control and stalking, so that people can recognise the signs of this type of behaviour and know they are not alone and there is help available.

Any donations that you can make no matter how big or small, will help the Trust to raise awareness and save lives.

Great North Run 2018

The Great North Run is the world's greatest half-marathon with over 50,000 runners. It passes through Gateshead, where Alice was murdered in 2016, and Alice's mum Sue ran the GNR in the following year 2017, raising over £10,000 for Women's Aid. In 2018 several runners, including Alice's dad Clive, will be taking part in the GNR to raise funds for the Trust.
