LUMC - 3 Peaks Challenge
This summer LUMC will undertake their first attempt at the 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing each of the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
Donations accepted until Closed
Liverpool University Mountaineering Club (LUMC) is one of the largest sports clubs at the University of Liverpool and have been providing students with opportunities to enjoy walking, climbing and mountaineering since the 1930's. Our members always enjoy a challenge and we have decided to use this adventurous spirit and determination to raise money for charities that mean a special something to our members, Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and British Liver Trust.
All money raised by LUMC will go directly to our chosen charities.
3 Peaks Challenge
On the evening of Friday 10th June, 18 of our members will set off from Liverpool for 24 hours of gruelling walking, attempting to summit and descend Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) all within 24 hours. We will walk over 42km (26 miles) and ascend over 3km during the challenge, embracing the night as we start our challenge in the early hours of Saturday and shaking off whatever weather the mountains throw at us on the way.
