For many years, I have suffered with mental health issues such as anxiety. Mental health problems can happen to anyone, regardless of who you are and every case is different. It can feel like a lonely experience, but you are never alone if you can seek the right help, even talking about issues with the right people helps a lot. It can be the turning point for positive change if you are determined enough. I have developed strategies and techniques to reduce the severity of issues such as anxiety, this includes running, and I look at the positives. For example, I'm not sure I would be enjoying running and listening to music that I currently enjoy without going through this experience. It's also given me more determination to succeed as well as having more empathy for people going through it. I want to support this charity so that other people suffering with mental health issues can get the help and support they need and I think that they are a very helpful charity.
Bristol Half marathon
I'm planning to run the Bristol Half marathon on the 25th September. I have been training hard for it, this includes undertaking half marathon training sessions at Southville Running Club, who are a lovely running club. The training is hard work but always worth it, I'm looking forward to all the support on the day. I don't have a set target, just a rough target, but any amount of money, however small is very helpful. Thank you for all the support I have received so far and will continue to have.
