Lovell is one of the largest community regeneration and partnerships contractor-developers across the UK. We don’t just build & refurbish homes, we want to help people build their futures. We do this by providing training, employment & life skills opportunities to those who may have found these harder to access. We fund community groups & events; we donate our time and skills to community projects; & we raise money for worthy charities.

Our London Region is taking an opportunity to raise charity funds, & collectively boost their health and wellbeing (ok, shift a bit of excess weight). Over 30 of our colleagues have decided to do walks ranging up to 60km (more than 37 miles) across the rolling Sussex countryside. With so many people walking, they have decided to nominate two charities to raise money for: Great Ormond Street Hospital & Help for Heroes.

GOSH needs to raise £100m every year to continue to help its young patients & their families & to pioneer new paediatric treatments that benefit children all over the world. H4H provides important help & support to people with illnesses & injuries sustained while serving in the British Armed Forces.

And what of this walk then?

Just Walk starts and finishes at Goodwood Racecourse, in Chichester, West Sussex. Our colleagues will be walking along 20km, 30km and 60km routes taking in the rolling hills and landscape of the West Sussex Countryside including sections of the South Downs National Trail on most routes. Most of our colleagues have been foolhardy enough to agree to take on the 60km beast, ignoring their aching hips and knees, and the wellbeing of their feet. It will give them plenty of time to think about the benefits their preferred charity will be able to deliver, not just during the walk, but the days or aches and pains that may well follow.

We need your help
Without your kind donations, the walk is just a nice challenge for some people who should probably know better.  We would love it if you would donate.  Thank you for coming this far with us.  If you could come that little bit further and click on the Donate Now button to your right, Lovell, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Help for Heroes and all the people both charities help will be incredibly grateful.
