Sue was so kind and considerate to everyone she met and cared deeply about her work which over the years included childcare, midwifery and the health visitor profession. A good friend to my Mum, Sue was always on the end of the phone with advice after I had my daughter and it made a real difference. My career as a nursery teacher is another reason this cause is so important to me.
The Sue Moreton Foundation, which continues Sue's work, provides supportive funding in North Wales (my childhood home) to people who wish to train in the field of midwifery and health visiting and people who (and projects which) promote and advance the issues prevalent throughout the post-natal care period.
So I'm off on my Stand Up Paddle Board to make it around the 21 miles of Lake Windermere...gulp! It's going to be HARD and this is a new sport sport for me and I'm still learning, but I plan to train hard to make sure I can do it.....So all donations are greatly received, every penny makes a difference. THANK YOU.
21mile Paddle Board Challenge on Lake Windermere
So I'm off around Lake Windermere on my Stand Up Paddle Board. All my provisions for the day will be with me on the board so I will be self sufficient as I paddle the 21 miles right around the lake on my own.
I will start and finish in Ambleside at Borans Park. (The day of the event may change as it's weather dependant.)
