Lesley and Chris Moor
As many of you will already know we have been in training this year walking miles of disused railways in Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex in preparation for this event on 18th November.
If you have enjoyed a visit to the Bluebell Railway and wish to support us in raising money for the replacement of worn track between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes, please give generously.
Bluebell Railway Track Trek 2017
Many thanks to everyone who took part in the Bluebell Railway's 5th sponsored "Track Trek", an 11 mile walk between East Grinstead and Sheffield Park stations on Saturday 18 November 2017.
The walk took place during the daytime, raising money for the Tr(ack) Action Appeal, that was formally launched in October. This is an appeal set up to raise £250,000 for the renewal of track along parts of the Railway. The target for the Track Trek is to raise £15,000 which will buy a new 60 foot track panel.
A complimentary bus service operated to take trekkers from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead in the morning and then back to their original starting point at the end of the Track Trek.
Participants registered in advance for the Trek. Details of this are available at www.bluebell-railway.me.uk/fund/TrackTrek2017.pdf
