Andy & Tom Kelly for Kingfisher PFSA
Fundraising to support the amazing work of Kingfisher Special School in Abingdon, for children with complex and profound needs, aged 2 through to 19
Raising money for
Kingfisher School PFSA
Inspired by our beautiful and wonderful son/nephew Toby, and all his school friends at Kingfisher, we are raising funds to help support the fantastic work the school does for all its children.
Pupils are lucky to have regular access to an on-site swimming pool which provides huge benefits and develops physical skills, co-ordination and confidence, for able-bodied and physically impaired children alike. We have seen first hand with Toby how much he benefits from the use of the pool, both for physical development and also just the natural enjoyment of being in the water.
Due to its nature and age, the pool is inevitably a huge pull on extremely limited resources for the school, and we are hoping therefore to raise some much needed funds for the PFSA to allow them to support further repair and refurbishment of the pool.
Kingfisher PFSA is a highly effective route for supporting the school and its pupils with specialist equipment which is otherwise unavailable. In recent years they have provided a new sensory room; specialist Eye-Gaze equipment and a bank of i-pads for use across the school.
Tom and Andy are tackling their most ambitious ride yet, aiming to cover a full 500km in just 24 hours of unsupported and non-stop pedalling...
