About

Running a Marathon for the first time. In 1979, I was born with Tracheo Oesophageal Fistula (TOF).
Tracheoesophageal fistula is an abnormal connection in one or more places between the esophagus (the tube that leads from the throat to the stomach) and the trachea (the tube that leads from the throat to the windpipe and lungs). Normally, the esophagus and the trachea are two separate tubes that are not connected, in my case it was joined to my left lung. I was operated on when I was a day old and spent the first five months of my life in hospital, only leaving on Christmas Eve 1979. I am raising money for www.tofs.org
