5 charity pledges to celebrate Latvia's Centenary
Earlier in 2018 UK registered charity “Giving for Latvia” (reg. charity no. 1161932) organized a grant competition for crisis centres and children's charities based in Latvia, to support social projects for children and families, in particular from marginalized and vulnerable backgrounds. Over 30 applications were received, and we would like to support large part of the projects.
The generous donations that have come in to Giving for Latvia over the past months allows us to cover 19 of these projects (€1,500-500 each), buying educational and special needs equipment, paying for day trips for underpriviledged children, etc.
We have selected a further handful of strong applications developed by children's charities in Latvia. We would be very keen to bring these projects to life and to achieve this we have organised a special Latvia's Centenary Charity Pledge Appeal to you, our kind donors. Please support vulnerable children in Latvia, by donating towards projects aimed at their development and wellbeing.
