KP Thighs of Steel
I'm getting back in the saddle to join the fab Thighs of Steel crew on the Timisoara to Sofia leg of their journey to Greece. It's going to be a real challenge - averaging 126km a day with a LOT of climbing and my thighs are currently nowhere near up to it!
This is the third year of Thighs of Steel and they have raised £150,000 for Khora, a humanitarian co-operative foundation in Athens providing services for refugees forced from their homes by war, poverty and climate change. There is still more to be done so please donate what you can.
Thankyou in advance!

London to Athens 2018
A group of not-so-serious cyclists have set themselves the serious challenge of cycling between London and Athens. The ride is a relay-style challenge, with each participant taking on a week or two of the overall trip.
We are fundraising for Khora; a grassroots, proactive association running a community centre in Athens. Their centre provides basic and human needs for people without freedom of movement. This includes free nutritious food, clothing, education, access to information and a safe space to build relationships and relax.
Equally important to what they offer, is how they offer it. Khora is run by volunteers from all over the world. Its team includes members of the local Greek community, the refugee community and other international volunteers too. It prioritises dignity and respect in every service it provides.
The £60,000 we are aiming to raise will pay for the rent for their community centre for an entire year. The running costs of a project are typically the hardest to find funding for, so it of particular importance to be able to provide this for Khora, to secure a stable future for the project. All fund-raised money goes to Khora, and none on the ride.
