This flooding has led to the closure of several wards: the Lower Medical Ward, Paediatrics and Female Surgical Wards have all had to be evacuated. Electrical power has been affected and control boards damaged. The water supply has been interrupted. Access to the wards is difficult and there may be raw sewage (from the long-drop toilets) in the floodwater that covers the whole farm meadow area.

Raising emergency funds

Kisiizi has been struggling to cope with a fall in its income caused by the recent tumbling value of the UK Pound on the foreign exchange markets. This flood will have a devastating impact on the hospital's finances unless we can raise sufficient funds to help their recovery. Please give generously.

We were so sorry to hear of the Kisiizi floods, our son and daughter in law Drs David and Helen Baker spent time working with you a few years ago and we know what a wonderful institution it is. We will be praying for you.
