About

This year our UK Construction business is aiming to raise over £200,000 for charity with the 2020 Challenge, the event will link up all Kier's regional construction businesses. Starting at the most northerly Kier site on Orkney Islands, Scotland, the challenge is to link up each regional business on a green journey that takes in all offices and as many sites as possible. The journey has to be completed in 2020 hours and must finish at the most southerly site in Truro, Cornwall. Participants can only take part in the green relay using ‘non-motorised’ forms of transport such as walking, running, horse-riding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, land surfing, surfing, ice skating, cycling etc.

Kier Construction Western & Wales  will also be supporting the following local charities:

  • Young People Cornwall
  • Children's Hospice South West
  • Bristol Mind
  • Great Western Air Ambulance Charity
  • Velindre NHS Trust Charitable Fund
  • Welsh Air Ambulance Charitable Trust
