Fundraising in memory of James Dwerryhouse
A very belated update but have just been waiting for all donations to come in and I think that's it.
We are all extremely proud to have taken part in this challenge. Diane completed the whole 53 miles (as did Sandra pictured in one of the pictures). Gemma just missed out one small section and I completed just over 26 miles, on and off during the day. The training ruined me but Diane, Gemma and Sandra did amazingly well. It was a great event with well-stocked checkpoints to keep us fuelled and the weather was kind.
This is why we did it....
James Dwerryhouse was Noah's friend and he sadly died in August 2016 aged just 7. Despite his health issues, James was a beautiful little boy who was full of fun and with a cheeky personality that made such an impression on all those he met.
Gemma, Diane and I want to raise funds doing this crazy challenge to provide cover for and help improve the play area, that James used to love so much at his school, Thomas Wolsey in Ipswich so it can be used in all weathers for both play and learning.
